Tea Party Costume - Find Tea Party Delight

One of the most memorable scenes in the Walt Disney animated film was definitely the merry and slightly senseless tea party that Alice had to attend. If you are planning on doing an Alice in Wonderland tea party where you can go crazy like the characters did, then you should wear tea party costumes that will dazzle all your guests as well.

Besides the only sane creature in that long table, there are three other interesting enough characters partaking in the endless afternoon tea ("It's always six o'clock now", the hatter had said). There's the aptly described Mad Hatter, Ftce math the always sleepy dormouse and the March Hare (quite difficult to describe this one).

The following are the most amazing tea party costume sets of the various characters in Lewis Carroll's unforgettable tale:

Very Mad Hatter

Despite the eccentricity of this character, a lot of people consider the Mad Hatter as one of the most unforgettable figures in this story. The Mad Hatter's tea party costume consists of a cropped pair of dark pants and a worn looking suit worn over a vest. There are several accessories that need to be present in the ensemble like the overly huge, oddly designed bow tie and the top hat with the 10/6 printed card inserted in the band.

Coarse March Hare

The costume of this sometimes pleasant, often rude character is striking and definitely eye-catching. It consists of a red pair of trousers, matching red vest and an orange coat over it. The set also includes the furry hood with large hare ears, gloves as the March Hare's hands and matching furry covers. This specific costume set comes in one standard adult size.

Lethargic Dormouse

The truth of the matter is that it is very difficult looking for an Alice in Wonderland Dormouse costume set. The appearance of this character varies from the illustration in the book, the famous animated film and the recently shown 3D motion picture. Since it is quite difficult to look for a tea party costume for this character, you need to make one yourself.

Confounded Alice at Tea Time

Alice joined the tea party as she was running after the white rabbit. The good thing here is that her outfit does not really undergo any significant design change from the book illustrations, to the animation and the most recent film. She still wears a light blue dress, a frilly white apron and the black headband on her head.

Of course, the tea party costume that you will be wearing should be complemented by the small things that you will use in the party. You should plan for games, party favors and music to be used in the tea time festivity. The food that you will be serving should also be appropriate. If you can set up a long table, do so. Do you remember the huge cake in the middle of that long table? It would be nice if you have that, as well as small cup cakes, biscuits and of course, tea.

Although the chapter of the tea time party in Lewis Carroll's story began with the three figures screaming "No room! No room!" to Alice, make sure that there will be enough for your tea party costume-clad guests.
