Windows 7 isn't meant to run slow but it does. I'm telling you this because if the system is not "designed" to run slow, there MUST be some problems leading to its slow speed, right? You bet! The fact is that Windows 7 has 3 main problems which will often lead it to run slow. There are 3 main reasons why Windows will run slower, including:
Windows has too many programs running
Your hard drive is "fragmented"
Your PC has registry errors
TRICK 1 - Uninstall Unwanted Programs
You don't want too many programs on your system, Ftce math because each one will just take up more & more system resources. You need to install just a few applications which you use regularly, and then occasionally put other tools onto your PC. To do this, you should uninstall the applications you don't use, which can be done by clicking onto Start > Control Panel > Programs & Features. This will show all your software, allowing you to remove it.
TRICK 2 - Defrag Your Hard Drive
The next step is to defragment your hard drive. To explain this, you have to imagine that the hard drive of your PC is basically like a library of files. Each time your PC wants to use a file, it has to locate it in the library and then open it. What happens in a lot of Windows systems is that many of the files will become "fragmented" (split up), making it very difficult for Windows to read the ones it needs. If you're experiencing this problem, you have to be able to defragment your hard drive, which can be done by clicking onto Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Defragmenter
TRICK 3 - Clean Out The Registry
This is the most important "trick" I have for you. The reason being that the registry database of Windows is one of the most vital areas of your system which is continually being used to help make sure that your PC can recall everything from your desktop wallpaper to your most recent emails. Although the registry is used continually on your system, it's often being damaged - leading your computer to run much slower and with a lot of problems as a result. In order to resolve this, you have to be able to clean out any of the parts of the registry which are corrupted, which can be done by clicking onto the Internet, downloading a registry cleaner tool and then letting it fix the errors on your system.
