Oude Kerk: It is an old church with little houses clinging to its sides. It is a calm place contrasting to the nearby Red Light District. Its buildings were used by sailors to get their bearings. Adults might like to try an evening walk in the nightlife area around the church.
Canal ring: This is famously called Venice of the North. The city centre is formed from canal rings giving feeling of freedom and peace. One can take a walk through these canal streets or a trip with a boat by boarding one of the tourist cruises. Another way to explore is to take a ride on a bicycle.
